Throughout its history, Nike ACG has been known for its innovative outerwear. One of the most eccentric silhouettes from its earlier years is 1994’s ACG Moc – a moccasin-inspired shoe ideal for relaxing in the great outdoors or enjoying laidback recovery days in comfort and style.

The soft upper of the Nike ACG Moc comes in a range of fabrics, from canvas to suede and even leather, some featuring a smooth finish and others decorated in circular dimples. Whatever material is used, the inner contains a neoprene liner with padded insulation to keep the foot warm. Consisting of one seamless layer throughout, the Moc’s upper has a single overlay at the heel which houses its fastening system: a toggle-adjusted cord that passes through internal loops concealed inside the shoe. These can easily be cinched tight to hold the foot securely in place when walking about or quickly loosened for a more relaxed feel when sitting by the campfire. Lastly, a pull tab rises above the heel to enhance the convenience of its slip-on design.

Underfoot, the ACG Moc is supported by a drop-in foam midsole that delivers plush comfort from heel to toe. Its rubber outsole is ruggedly built, with rows of interlocking triangular lugs reaching across its entire surface to provide reliable traction on outdoor tracks as well as city streets. All of this is made with lightweight, durable materials to ensure an effortless walking experience that lasts all day.

The smooth, minimalist upper of the Nike ACG Moc gives it a stylish elegance, while its outdoor-ready sole adds a hardy edge. Eye-catching branding effects include an embroidered Swoosh on the lateral ankle and an ACG logo on the curvaceous heel tab. The insole is decorated with a detailed pattern that subtly incorporates another ACG triangle alongside distinctive topographical lines that nod to the Moc’s off-road credentials.

The 2023 return of the ACG Moc was preceded by 2019’s Moc 3.0 and its 2022 successor, the Moc 3.5. These both feature plush quilted uppers for superior comfort and chunky midsoles that offer outstanding cushioning and a bold look. While these releases paved the way for the ACG Moc, a 2023 collaboration with Japanese streetwear brand Undercover gave its launch a powerful boost. Known as the Moc Flow, the striking silhouette combines the Moc’s seamless upper with an innovative sole based on that of the ISPA Flow from 2020 to create a captivating sneaker that is both fashionable and supportive.
